What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device to help a website function, remember choices, or understand how visitors use the site.
This launch version does not use an interactive cookie banner. Optional analytics are intended to remain off unless a stable consent flow is introduced later.
Cookie categories
The table below describes the intended cookie categories for launch. It should be updated if optional analytics or third-party embeds are introduced later.
| Category | Purpose | Typical examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Support core site functionality where required. | Basic session or framework-level behaviour |
| Analytics | Not enabled by default in the current site setup. | No optional analytics cookies at launch |
| Marketing | Not used at launch. If introduced later, these would need separate explanation and consent handling. | Advertising or remarketing cookies |
Future changes
If optional analytics, marketing tags, or third-party embeds are added later, this policy should be updated alongside a tested consent mechanism before those tools are enabled.
Until then, the site should be treated as running without optional tracking by default.
Third parties and external links
Some pages may link to external services such as Microsoft, booking providers, or social platforms. Those services manage their own cookies and privacy practices independently of Harkstone Tech.
If third-party embeds are added later, the final cookie policy should be updated to explain them clearly.
